About Royal Poinciana
Royal Poinciana Golf Club stands as one of Naples' most distinguished private clubs, founded in 1969 by seven visionary founders who transformed their dream into reality in just ten months. By opening day on Thanksgiving 1969, 401 eager members were ready to experience the first Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed course.
Unlike many golf communities, Royal Poinciana is a non-residential club - there are no homes on the property. The club is surrounded by natural preserves, with over 65,000 trees creating a pure golf sanctuary that has earned Audubon International Certification.
In 2009, on its 40th anniversary, Royal Poinciana was designated a Platinum Club by Platinum Clubs of America, recognizing it among the top 200 clubs out of 6,000+ nationwide. The club's "Commitment to Excellence" philosophy, adopted in 1993, continues to guide every aspect of the member experience.
Championship Golf Courses
Both courses were originally designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr., featuring level terrain with elevated greens and tee boxes, strategic bunkers, and undulating fairways.
Cypress Course
A tropical paradise featuring many cypress trees and Royal Palms, with marshlands and 6 ponds that come into play on 10 holes. More water features than Pines course.
