Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian in September 2022, Port Royal Club embarked on plans for an approximately $100 million replacement clubhouse, designed by Hart Howerton with interiors by Champalimaud. The proposed 77,000-square-foot facility features Gulf-view dining, covered terraces, a Sunset Bar, private dining rooms and a beachfront pool with cabanas, complemented by a 10,000-square-foot fitness center, spa and nine Har-Tru tennis courts. This ambitious redevelopment reflects Port Royal’s commitment to preserving its distinctive private-club tradition while elevating the member experience for generations to come.
